It would have been nice if Tedesco could have run the tassels during his heat race.
I guess the final tally for Josh Hansen's practice crash was - screwed up back, slight concussion, busted up hand and a broken finger. Pretty impressive that he was able to win the main.
Jake Weimer's bike finally got to hit the track at A2. Unfortunately Weimer's replacement, Fabian Izoird could only muster a 19th in the main. On the plus side though, he can say he beat Ryan Dungey (who finished 20th).
If Dungey's strategy was to play it safe and not throw any races away. Well, after derailing his chain and scoring 1 point at A2, looks like that strategy will probably be retired. Expect Dungey to race with a little more urgency now.
David Pingree was at A2 working for the Asterisk guys and getting a little EMT experience (he's trying to land a job as a firefighter).
Houston will be Malcolm Stewart's first pro SX race. Wonder if he'll be in the top 10?
Before Mugen got into making hop-up parts for Civics and Accords, they made hop-up parts for motorcycles. Johnny O'mara's '80 Mugen looks so bitchen.
Here's the 2011 version of a Mugen Honda MXer. Maybe not as cool looking as the 1980 version but still plenty trick.
Here's a close up of the exhaust. She's a sweet one.
